Where local impacts find a world of solutions

For the seventh time “Resilient Cities 2016 - Annual Global Forum on Urban Resilience and Adaptation” took place from 6 to 8 July 2016 in Bonn, Germany. Resilient Cities is the global platform for urban resilience and climate change adaptation, organized by ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability and co-hosted with the City of Bonn, Germany.

Each year, Resilient Cities brings together over 400 experts and practitioners from around the world to discuss urban resilience and adaptation. The program of 2016 focused on a variety of key topics including inclusive resilience strategies, financing the resilient city, measuring and monitoring progress, resilience and adaptation planning, governance and collaboration, resource management, and resilient infrastructure. With networking and side events, the congress offered the perfect opportunity to connect with a vibrant global community of resilience practitioners and researchers, to build new partnerships and exchange ideas and best practices.
